Conveyor for applying filling designed for automation of spreading and assembly of confectionery layers and cakes
Consists of two nodes:
- spreading conveyor;
- assembly conveyor.
The spreading conveyor is designed to automate the application of filling to the top of confectionery cakes (square or rectangular) with subsequent transfer to the assembly conveyor. The semi-finished confectionery product (crust) in the amount of 3 layers is manually fed onto a polyurethane transport belt; due to the movement of the belt, the product falls under the dosing device, where the filling (cream) is applied. The dosing device is a gear pump type head designed for dosing fluid masses (biscuit, cream, etc.) The gap between the cake and the dosing head is adjusted mechanically. After applying the filling, three rows of cakes are conveyed along a moving belt to an assembly line, where the cakes are automatically separated from each other and the final manual assembly of the cakes takes place. The conveyors are equipped with gear motors and frequency converters to smoothly change the speed of the belt and the speed of the belts. The dosing heads are equipped with individual drives and frequency converters to regulate the filling speed (rotation of gear shafts). Included with the dosing head are two types of gates for different dimensions of cakes. The gates are equipped with the ability to individually adjust the thickness of the filling layer on each row of cakes.
